About HRS

The Hourglass Reading Series connects accomplished and emerging writers with a live audience through monthly readings. Each event creates a focused space for listening and exchange between writers and the community that gathers to hear them.

The series is grounded in the belief that literature is lived and spoken, not distant or academic. By placing writers and readers in the same room, the work unfolds in real time through voice, presence, and attention.

These readings make room for poems, stories, and essays to do what they have always done best: bring people together.
